Late last week, The Pokémon Company gave a preview of the English dub for Pokémon Horizons: The Series during its first-ever panel at Comic-Con International in San Diego, including a sneak-peak screening of the first 11 minutes of the first episode. While there's still some time until that episode will air in full internationally, over in Japan the series has already completed its first cour, with many more episodes on the way!

A limited-time distribution of a Dark Tera Type Charizard was announced for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet during the July 21st broadcast of the Pokémon Horizons (Pocket Monsters) anime in Japan. A press release from The Pokémon Company International earlier today has announced a collection of Pokémon panels and activities that will be taking place at the upcoming Comic-Con International 2023, which is being held later this month from July 20th-23rd. These include a panel on the past and future of the Pokémon franchise, as well as a variety of attractions on the show floor from various manufacturers of licensed Pokémon merchandise.

The Pokémon Company International has announced that new episodes of Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series, the 25th season of the long-running Pokémon animated series, will premiere exclusively on Netflix in the United States on June 23rd. This batch of episodes will finally bring the close of Ash and Pikachu's journey to English-speaking audiences, with the final battles of the World Coronation Series against the strongest trainers from around all of the regions Ash has travelled through.

UPDATE: A limited amount of additional information about this newly discovered Pokémon was revealed in a press release sent out Monday. This update confirms the Pokémon will be found in the upcoming The Hidden Treasures of Area Zero DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and that it does have a relationship of some kind to Terapagos.

Updates on the TV Tokyo and TV Osaka websites have revealed the title and summary for the first two episodes of the new Pokémon anime series, which will air together as a 1 hour special in Japan on Friday April 14th from 6:55pm-7:55pm, JST. A well known and reliable Japanese source on Twitter has also revealed the title for the third episode, which will air on April 21st.

A special Pocket Monsters Music Festival (アニメポケットモンスター音楽祭) will be airing next Friday on TV Tokyo at 6:55pm (JST), in the normal timeslot for the Pokémon anime. This hour-long special will feature a wide array of artists singing Pokémon opening and ending themes from the entire length of the series, including a performance of Dokimeki Diary (ドキメキダイアリー), the Japanese opening theme for Pokémon Horizons: The Series, which fans were given their first taste of earlier tonight in the newly released 2nd preview trailer.

A new trailer for Pokémon Horizons, the upcoming new Pokémon anime series, aired this evening in Japan after the end of the final episode of Pokémon Journeys. Shortly afterwards, the trailer was uploaded to the English language Official Pokémon YouTube channel, together with English subtitles. A new Japanese press also released statements from asmi and Chinozo, the singer and producer of the Japanese opening theme for the new series. Episode 301 of THE FIRST TAKE, which airs in a bit over an hour from when this story is going up, will feature a special performance by Rica Matsumoto, Ash's Japanese voice actress, performing Mezase Pokemon Master -with my friends-, the arrangement of the first Japanese opening theme of the Pokémon anime that was originally made to commemorate the anime's 25th anniversary, and which is being used as the opening for the final epilogue arc that's currently airing in Japan. In addition to Rica Matsumoto herself, the performance will also feature a live band, electric violin, and chorus.

After the broadcast of the most recent anime episode in Japan earlier tonight, we finally have a name for the mysterious character for the new Pokémon anime series first seen in the background of the main visual released on March 3rd. Amejio (アメジオ) is a member of an organisation called the Explorers, who seem to have an agenda that puts them at odds with Liko and Roy. The Pokémon Company has released a special music video in collaboration with Night Tempo, a maker of "aesthetic music" from South Korea. The video, which was uploaded simultaneously to the official English and Japanese Pokémon YouTube channels, presents a mashup remix of Aim to Be a Pokémon Master (めざせポケモンマスター Mezase Pokémon Master), the original Japanese theme song of the Pokémon anime, with its English counterpart, Gotta Catch 'Em All!.

In a surprise announcement as part of the Pokémon Presents video presentation for Pokémon Day, The Pokémon Company in partnership with Netflix and the animation team at dwarf studios have announced Pokémon Concierge, a new stop-motion animation series. Friede (Japanese: フリード Furiido), a new Pokémon Professor who will feature in the upcoming new Pokémon anime series, was revealed after the Pokémon anime episode that aired earlier tonight in Japan, together with Captain Pikachu, his partner Pokémon.
